I used Paint.Net, and it worked very well. It was useful to have an actual picture to tab to.ģ: Don't use MS paint or whatever the default art program is on your computer. How do you add Character generator parts So in my sprite and SV battler browsing, Ive noticed a lot of 'character generator' parts. Making cool sprites is really not that hard! If you decide to do that, here are some tips:ġ: Don't start from scratch. The solution for me was to make my own sprites. Hello, would someone be able to help me out with creating a generator piece for MV Resource Type: Generator Part Maker Format: MV Art Style: MV RTP Description: Im looking to create sheep-like horns and ears as a generator part. For the horns, Im going for the cinnamon bun-like design, alongside woolly ears. I cant make this in the Character Generator, though. Id prefer MZ for the sake of simplicity, but Ive found way more other parts in MV, so I guess either is fine. Ive run into a major problem with the Character Generator- I have one village in my game where I envision the inhabitants as being sort of Pacific Islander types in terms of ethnicity, specifically kind of deep tan/pale orange. Generator parts are very annoying to make and you are pretty unlikely to recieve a whole bunch. I was seeking for helmets and medieval clothing. I have searched for some custom parts to download, but I cant seen to find any wide selection of parts in forums. Ive looked forever to find the generator parts I would need, and Im coming up with bupkiss. I am new to rpg maker mv, and Ive noticed that the current character generator lacks too much of clothes and other details. From princes to paupers, you can customize the perfect child and add amazing detail to your RPG Maker. These pieces may be used to create both child heroes and NPCs, with a variety of looks appropriate for many social settings and classes. It's really hard to find anything other than hair, generally, and whole packs are virtually nonexistent. Im working on a game and some of the characters I need to generate are professional wrestlers (not anybody on TV, but unique builds). This video is sponsored by Komodo Co., Ltd.Art by KADOKAWAReid Sprite by Robert PineroDEGICA/RPG Maker MV Splash screen made by TeaDriftwood Gaming Splash sc. Kids Generator Parts (DLC 4) contains 127 parts to create kids through RPG Maker MVs character generator. (special in this case means anything not in RPG maker's default theme). I'm sorta ranting/raging, but after waiting for this engine and it's character generator I'm left disappointed in it's limitations.I tried looking for "special" sprite parts on the internet several times.

Heck, Let's just say if anyone is willing to take on a project of converting the clothes, accessories, hair, etc from those three DLC/premium packs to have everything ready for MV side view battle system, I'd be willing to pay them $20-40 USD per pack. In fact, if you could somehow convert the sprites for the Future Works, Fantasy Hero and Dark Fantasy hero DLC packs to have side view battle sprites I'd be super happy and willing to pay for the whole packs again. I did purchase many many DLC packs for VX Ace, and I'd happily pay for as many parts for the generator as you can think of. I know I can go in and manually edit the gradients file, but man, that's pretty rough though, as I'll have to do that multiple times for the project I am working on.Īlso, the clothes and accessories are pretty bare. If you plan to use, multiple styles within the MZ generator, I recommend making a separate folder to backup each style. MV and MV Beastman body parts are compatible some face parts are not. I don't like the color choices though, I can't make dark colored hair for instance. More information regarding asset standards can be found in the RPG Maker MZ help file.
